Blue Marine Glix Gelcoat Filler – Polyester Repair Filler (putty)

Do you have a deep scratch, groove, or damage in the polyester of your boat? With Blue Marine Glix Gelcoat Filler, you can easily repair it yourself. This product is specially developed for quick and professional restoration of polyester surfaces and prevents further damage to your boat.

The Glix Gelcoat Filler is not only suitable for polyester boats but also ideal for jet skis and other polyester objects. It ensures a smooth finish and a long-lasting result.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  1. For deep damages where polyester fibers are visible, first repair the surface with Rexim Fibre Glass or the Kit Repair Fibreglass.
  2. Clean the surface and sand lightly.
  3. Mix the required amount of Glix Gelcoat Filler thoroughly with 2–3% hardener.
  4. Apply the filler as evenly and smoothly as possible with a putty knife or spatula.
  5. Allow the product to cure for approx. 10–20 minutes.
  6. Sand the surface first with 120 grit, then with waterproof 260/280 grit.
  7. Finish smoothly with waterproof 400/500 grit sandpaper.
  8. For the perfect finish: apply Gelcoat Spray and then polish with Schutz for optimal shine and extra protection.

 

TIP:

For larger repairs, always use Rexim Fibre Glass or the complete Kit Repair Fibreglass first to create the best base for your repair.
